Odiham Society seeks to chronicle, protect and enhance the heritage, character and environment of the Parish of Odiham and North Warnborough.  We publish two journals each year and run speaker evenings on local and interesting topics. At these events members meet and enjoy a glass of wine. Outings and a Christmas evening complete a busy annual programme of events. A number of exciting projects are always on the go and we welcome volunteers who wish to become involved in serving our members and the community.

ONE OF THE MANY JOYS OF VILLAGE LIFE IS THE ONGOING SENSE OF COMMUNITY AND BELOW ARE A FEW OF THE GROUPS THAT SERVE AND INVOLVE OUR LOCAL AREA ...

The club covers Odiham and Hook and the surrounding villages. Membership is open to men and women of all ages and all walks of life who share a common aim to give something back to the community and to have fun. The objective of Rotary is 'Service above Self' - we run fund raising community events such as the Odiham Jazz weekend and at Christmas time we provide a sleigh for Father Christmas when he calls on houses in the area. Funds raised go to support youngsters, schools, organisations and charities both local, national and international.

Hook & Odiham Lions Club is part of Lions International, the largest voluntary organisation in the world. 100% of the money the Club raises from the public is spent on community projects and other good causes. The Club raises funds locally by holding public events such as Duck Races, Quiz Nights, Santa Street Visits and similar events. In some cases fund raising is targeted at specific causes, others for general/local good causes. The Club organises and enjoys an active and varied social programme for its members throughout the year.

The Odiham District of U3A has grown very rapidly to over 300 members to become a vibrant friendly hub for the community which draws on the range of skills and expertise held by those no longer in full time work to create a large number of activities and clubs. Clubs include Considering Art, Creative Writing, Current Affairs, History, Family History, Indoor Bowls, Ladies who Lunch, Mah Jong, Music Appreciation, Pilates, Poetry, Science and Technology, Singing Barbershop, Walking for Pleasure and Wine Appreciation.

Most months the Odiham branch of the WI has a speaker and also time for coffee and some socialising. We have a lunch group who try out local restaurants and pubs once a month. We join in activities organised by our local Hart group of WI’s and also enter the County Quiz and Skittles competitions. Members have the opportunity to participate in events arranged in Hampshire and further afield by the County and National Federations.  Details of our meetings are published in the Odiham Parish News and also on the Parish Noticeboard in the High Street.
